Now that you are getting a bit familiar with our company, we thought it would be nice to highlight someone you might have emailed or even spoken to!
"Tell me, Imane, how did you end up in customer service?"
"I actually ended up in customer service somewhat by chance when I started working at YOEK, but I quickly realized that I was well-suited for it. I enjoy being in contact with people. The nice thing is that at YOEK, you don’t just answer questions—you help customers with something personal: their appearance and self-confidence. It’s always enjoyable to do that. What I like most about the contact with people is that you can truly mean something to someone. I put my own spin on it by listening well and making that little extra effort. That personal aspect makes the work extra valuable to me."
"Are there conversations with customers that you will never forget?"
"Yes, there are certainly conversations that will stick with me forever. For example, when a customer tells me that they feel so much more confident thanks to my advice. Those kinds of moments make the work so special because it shows that you can really make a difference in someone's life with something small. I have learned that everyone has their own story and that truly listening makes a difference. By showing attention and understanding, you can help people better. My work in customer service has made me more patient and empathetic, which I also carry with me outside of work."
"At YOEK, we are all crazy about clothing or the profession in our own way! What does fashion mean to you personally, and how does that come to expression in your work?"
"For me, fashion is a way to express yourself and to feel good in your own body. It’s not just about trends, but about what suits you. In my work, I also try to convey that: I listen to the customers' wishes and provide advice that makes them feel beautiful and comfortable."
"Five years (almost 6!) at YOEK - that's something! What makes you feel at home here?"
"Five years at YOEK really means to me that I've found a place where I can be myself and feel appreciated. What keeps me here is the warm atmosphere and the great team, and of course the contact with the customers."
When I started at YOEK, I was mainly enthusiastic and eager to learn, but still somewhat inexperienced in giving personal clothing advice. Five years later, I have become much more confident in my role and have learned how important it is to truly listen to customers. I now feel not only like an advisor but also like someone who helps people feel better about themselves.
"What kind of bond have you built with your colleagues, and what do they mean to you in your daily work pleasure?"
"I have a really nice bond with my colleagues. We can truly rely on each other, have a lot of fun together, and support each other when needed. That atmosphere makes work enjoyable every day. Without them, it wouldn't be the same!"
With such a beautiful statement,
we like to conclude this third YOEK 40-year story! Running a fashion label often requires hard work together, but we also make room for fun. Next week, we will introduce you to Monique, who is responsible for sales to all boutiques
where YOEK is available.
